The Lost Tomb of Jesus

Ok, thought I’d get on the bandwagon early. Anybody see the Discovery Channel presentation of The Lost Tomb of Jesus–the documentary and the post show with Ted Koppel? Opinions? Was it an interesting documentary or an irresponsible presentation of information? Director/Producer/Writer Simcha Jacobovici refers to himself as a filmmaker and a journalist throughout the Ted Koppel post show debate. Almost all the panel participants agreed he was a good filmmaker but didn’t appreciate his journalism. What do you think?

  1. Hi Joni,
We Indians try to play safe and ban all controversial films and books. I dont know whether we we will be able to see it but I respect your views not only as a Christian but also as a person who sees logic so please if you get to see it let me know your views.

  2. Before you make up your mind about the “Lost Tomb of Jesus” you need to see and hear the rest of the evidence.

For a comprehensive and scholarly rebuttal of the film’s evidence please visit ExtremeTheology.com.

Read and hear the evidence for yourself.

  3. I ended up missing it since our church has home teams on Sunday nights. I am sure they will replay it tons of times though. I will try to catch a replay this week.

    • Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda, a minister, says he is God
    • De Jesus preaches that there is no devil and no sin
    • His church claims thousands of members in more than 30 countries

  8. Did Ted Koppel find his career? Or did they find anything belonging to Al Capone? Where was Geraldo Rivera on this one?

  9. I wasn’t willing to waste disk space in the TiVo for this nonsense. Everything I read about it made sound lamer than the Da Vinci Code.
