Of Mice and Ruhs’

Got mice. Had ’em before, we’ll have ’em again I suppose. Set a trap in the garage a couple days ago. Finally got one. Threw him/her away and reset the trap. Smack! 25 minutes later, got another one. Oh, I forgot to mention how interested my kids are to see a mouse–dead. It’s easier to study if its not running across the garage floor. They wanted to see mouse #1 so I showed it to them before I threw it out. A couple of ewws and one awww. Mouse #2 however was MUCH more fascinating. Can anyone (or everyone) guess what a 5 yr old boy would notice about a 3″ long dead mouse? Um, yeah. The poop. Poor thing died with half a poop sticking out of his butt. How embarrassing because once a my 5 yr old boy sees something like that, he can’t keep it to himself. “Maddie! Come look at his poop!!!” “Annaliese!! He’s got poop in his butt!!”

The indignity of it all.

Just one more thing to share at church huh?! Gotta love kids and their eagerness to share such info. with family, friends, and complete strangers!!! hahaha

  3. One of the benefits of living in rural western Kentucky is there are plenty of roaming cats in the neighborhood, and I’ve never seen mice in our house. They do get in our garage occasionally. Lord help us if we ever get one in the house…our lazy housecat wouldn’t know what to do with it.

Well Joni of course he died like that – you scared the S out of him. :>) Sorry, couldn’t resist.
